Unexpected colour, organic marks and beautifully unpredictable textures make Dissolved Nat Geo Pages a wonderfully experimental collection.
These pages were created through my own studio explorations using Citra Solv with National Geographic magazine pages. The dissolving process transforms the original printed imagery into completely new abstract surfaces — revealing extraordinary colours, fragmented shapes, translucent layers and organic patterns that could never be deliberately painted.
That element of surprise is exactly what I love about this technique. Every page develops differently, creating unusual passages of colour and texture that are wonderful for mixed media and collage.
Use the pages whole as expressive foundations for your artwork, or tear, crop and layer your favourite sections with gel prints, painted papers, image transfers and your own marks. There are so many beautiful fragments waiting to become part of something new.
The collection includes 12 high-resolution pages, supplied as two 6-page PDF files and conveniently packaged together in one ZIP file. The pages are designed to print beautifully on A4 or 8.5" × 11" paper.
These designs are for personal creative use and may also be incorporated into original artworks that you sell. The digital files, individual designs or printed pages may not be resold or redistributed as standalone products. FroyleArt imagery must form part of your own finished creative work.
