This work unfolds like a map without directions — a place where journey matters more than arrival. A doorway stands quietly at the centre, not as an ending or a promise, but as an invitation. What lies beyond is intentionally undefined, held in shadow and suggestion rather than certainty.

Layered patterns, worn surfaces, and shifting colour speak to movement over time — paths taken, paused, and reimagined. Embedded throughout the work are my own Dance Moves symbols, original organic designs that act as markers along the way. They are gestures rather than instructions, traces of motion that suggest the inner choreography of becoming.

Between Here and Becoming reflects the spaces we pass through when change is underway but not yet revealed. It honours the courage of standing at the threshold — attentive, open, and willing to step forward without knowing exactly what waits on the other side.

‘Between Here and Becoming’ has been painted on a professionally stretched canvas. With the sides painted, the back taped and strung, this work of art is ready to hang. This painting has been finished with a satin varnish and measures 16 x 20” (41 x 51cm).
