Class 11: Inspired by the Elements (Day 71 - 77)
Welcome back to the studio!
Nature has always been one of my greatest sources of inspiration. In this class, we'll explore the beauty and symbolism of earth, air, fire and water, using each element as a starting point for expressive mixed media collage.
Across seven inspiring projects, you'll experiment with layered papers, Gelli printing, texture, colour and mark making, responding intuitively to the qualities of each element. Some pages may feel calm and grounded, while others become energetic, fluid or full of movement.
Rather than trying to represent nature, we'll use it as inspiration to explore our own creative responses. Trust your instincts, embrace the unexpected and allow each collage to evolve naturally.

Studio Reflection
Nature reminds us that creativity is always changing.
The seasons shift, rivers find new paths, fire transforms, and the wind carries seeds to unexpected places. Creativity moves in much the same way — growing, changing and unfolding in its own time.
When we stop trying to control every outcome and simply respond to what is unfolding on the page, we often discover something far more meaningful than we planned.
