The 100 Days of Collage Mixed Media Art Class aims to inspire creativity, improve artistic skills, and foster self-expression through the medium of mixed media collage. Each lesson, participants will create one-page collages in their art journals (or preferred substrate), exploring various themes, prompts, and techniques to build a comprehensive and diverse body of work.
The purpose of the art journal is to allow yourself the freedom to experiment, to play, to mess up and to truly develop your creativity. There’s no pressure with an art journal to perform, or to exhibit your art, no perfection is needed. You can freely create and that is what we want you to achieve. To really allow the real you to come out and play. This collection, this journey, will be something that you will want to keep and look back on to remind yourself not only of the techniques, but the personal breakthroughs that creating art can achieve.

How To Use Gel Plate Printing For Collage Painting
In this art class we are going to create beautiful collage papers using the Gelli plate printing techniques and then we will use those printed designs to create a finished collage painting.
You will learn how to create basic backgrounds with 3 colours, then onto using stencils and we then will experiment with found objects, metallic colours and interference paint.

Then we are going to put our favourite prints into an art journal, using a recycled brochure, so that you will have a concise glossary of the great prints that you have made.

We will be creating a large scale gelli print collage artwork on canvas. You will learn how to make the gelli prints, which colours to use and how to glue them on. Then we will discuss elements of design and foundations of composition, as we add layers of glorious prints.
