When I found my family and understood where I came from, I felt I was given a treasure box, full of history, culture and knowledge yet to be explored. This is a combination of design inspired by the taonga Brownie gave me and my ta moko from Tipi Wehipeihana. The oval shape making reference to the traditional waka huia that I saw in the collection at Te Papa.
